For Monday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will start developing across the Memphis metro area after about 9am and last throughout the morning in a primarily hit-and-miss variety. If storms can get going, especially between 9am-12pm, there will be a threat of severe weather with them, including the possiblity of tornadoes as some storms could be supercells due to high levels of wind shear, cooling of the upper levels of the atmosphere, and very moist and warm air near the surface.
